Position: Suncor Process Safety Engineer Role
Lead process safety initiatives with Suncor as a Specialist Process Safety Engineer in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Your expertise will enhance operational safety and risk management practices.

This full-time position requires a solid background in risk management, ideally with a decade of experience in the resource sector. You will work closely with production unit leaders to implement ORM processes effectively and ensure compliance with industry best practices. Additional responsibilities include developing risk registers and facilitating critical control strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement ORM processes aligned with best practices

• Work with PU leaders to boost risk management maturity

• Update Asset Level risk register consistently

• Conduct analyses for Major Incident Hazards using Bowtie method

• Analyze risk reports for maturity and effectiveness

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in risk management

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline

• Professional Engineer designation or eligible

• Comprehensive understanding of risk management principles

• Ability to promote change and influence teams
