** We are hiring a skilled professional to support refinery safety, reliability, and mechanical integrity programs, with a focus on static equipment performance and continuous improvement. In this role, you will collaborate across teams to support inspections, incident investigations, maintenance activities, and compliance efforts that strengthen equipment reliability and overall facility performance.

* Minimum Requirements:
*** Two years of experience conducting Inspections, NDE, QA activities, monitoring welding/fabrication/repair/alteration and new construction of pressure and process equipment
* API 510, API 570 or 653
* A Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Welding / equivalent education, or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in a petrochemical or refining operation
* Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Power Point
* A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
* A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

** Responsibilities:
*** Support refinery safety performance and contribute to a strong safety culture through incident investigation and continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain static equipment integrity through inspection reporting, database management, non-destructive testing, and corrective action recommendations
* Analyze equipment, process, and repair history with cross-functional teams to identify reliability issues and improve facility performance
* Support maintenance activities including material selection, inspection planning, testing, execution, and long-range reliability strategy development
* Ensure compliance with regulatory codes and standards while strengthening agency relationships and recommending improved inspection technologies
** Location and other Key details:
*** You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
* You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended hours or on-call duties depending on business needs
