Suncor is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to enhance our Fort Hills Primary Extraction operations. In this role, you will engage with cross-functional teams to tackle technical challenges and implement long-term initiatives. You will ensure the reliability and safety of various mechanical systems while aligning with Suncor’s business values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate daily with operations and maintenance teams on equipment performance

• Develop mechanical equipment inspection and repair plans for field execution

• Monitor and troubleshoot the health of mechanical equipment

• Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures

• Lead mechanical management of change initiatives for cost improvements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of engineering experience in a relevant field

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

• Registered Professional Engineer with APEGA

• Field experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals

• Knowledge of ASME/API standards and mechanical design codes
