LOCATION: CNOOC LLK Site, Fort McMurray, Alberta

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and revise piping drawings, including GA drawings, Isometrics, spool drawings, and as-built drawings based on engineering markups and field redlines.
  • Operating AutoCAD, CADWorx 3D or Smart Plant 3D modelling software
  • Update piping drawings to reflect field changes, tie-ins, and construction modifications.
  • Conduct field verification and collect dimensional information to ensure drawings accurately represent site conditions.
  • Support construction and engineering teams by producing accurate drafting deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Piping Engineers, Construction Supervisors, and other disciplines to resolve drawing issues.
  • Maintain drawing registers and document revisions in accordance with project document control procedures.
  • Generating isometrics and bill of material from 3D model.
  • Creating and back drafting 2D CAD drawings such as Plot Plans, PFDs, P&IDs, Piping Plans and Sections
  • Ensure drafting work complies with applicable project standards, client specifications, and industry codes.
  • Support turnover documentation by preparing final as-built drawing packages.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of piping drafting experience in oil & gas, industrial, or EPC projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D, Smart Plant 3D, or CADWorx is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping layouts, isometric drawings, and engineering sketches.
  • Familiar with piping components, fittings, valves, supports, and standard installation practices.
  • Experience preparing as-built drawings from field markups is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes such as ASME B31.3, CSA Z662 is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with good communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced field construction environment.
