Chief Power Engineer at Greenfire

Lead operational excellence at Greenfire as a Chief Power Engineer for the Hangingstone Expansion and Demo SAGD facilities. Your focus will be on regulatory compliance and optimizing operations for safety and efficiency.

In this pivotal site-based rotational role, report directly to the Operations Manager, collaborating closely with the field leadership team. You'll connect regulatory and operational requirements, drive productivity, and reinforce Greenfire’s culture across Operations, Maintenance, and HSE teams. This position demands a high level of technical oversight and operational discipline to ensure each team excels in performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee compliance with Alberta regulations and Safety Codes Act

• Maintain operational documentation and ensure regulatory adherence

• Establish safe operating standards and emergency practices

• Collaborate with supervisors for consistent operational strategies

• Monitor steam generation, water treatment, and utility performance

Requirements:

• Valid Alberta First Class Power Engineer Certificate

• 10+ years in SAGD or heavy industrial operations

• Experience in leadership roles in operational settings

• Strong capability in troubleshooting and plant processes

• Proficient in communication and collaboration skills
