The Planner II position is a full-time, temporary role within the Development Permitting team. You'll research and compile key planning documents, facilitating the review and decision-making process for community development projects. Your expertise will be critical in shaping policies that contribute to vibrant and inclusive communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead planning document evaluation and negotiation

• Perform socio-demographic and economic data analysis

• Review development applications and permits meticulously

• Engage with the public to provide planning insights

• Report preparation for Boards and Committees

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Urban or Regional Planning required

• At least three years of relevant experience

• Technical understanding of planning statutes in Alberta

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
