Freelance Network Deployment Engineer

Join a dynamic team as a Freelance Network Deployment Engineer located in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Provide onsite Smart Hands and Network Deployment support for Cisco installations and replace SD WAN systems.

In this freelance role, you will manage Cisco Wireless LAN Controller installations and support key network deployment projects. Your expertise in rack and stack activities, cabling, and basic network troubleshooting will be essential. This position operates on a ticket-based support model, providing flexibility with potential recurring projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stage and prepare network equipment for deployment

• Rack and install Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers

• Perform power, fiber, and Ethernet cross-connects

• Verify switch port availability and connectivity

• Package and remove legacy network equipment if needed

Requirements:

• Expertise in Rack & Stack network activities

• Experience with Cisco WLC installation and deployment

• Knowledge in fiber optic and Ethernet cabling

• Strong troubleshooting skills in network environments

• Proficient with standard technician toolkit and software
