The Baseplant Extraction Maintenance team is looking for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Planner to join our team.

- Identify and manage all factors relevant to achieving safe, environmentally responsible, and cost‑effective mechanical maintenance plans.
- Improve resource productivity by identifying mechanical availability while minimizing costs for the equipment and ensuring safety is built into every work order.
- Work closely with various teams to develop seamless interfaces between functions, enabling the safe, consistent, and reliable planning of all maintenance activities.
- Manage and adjust planning priorities according to operational requirements, plant risk, defect analysis, and major event calendar dates.
- Prepare job plans that include logical sequencing of associated tasks, considering multi‑craft alignment.
- Maintain and continuously improve job plans and task lists through analysis of previous work order history, soliciting planning feedback, performing workplace observations, and field walk‑downs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and standards, including the MOC process and maintenance business processes, and provide input into the development of procedures and standards.
- Serve as a key member of the integrated maintenance team, working with reliability engineers, supply chain management, and operations.
- Electrical or Instrumentation trade certificate or diploma in a relevant technical field or equivalent technical or operational experience.
- Five or more years of related working knowledge of maintenance and reliability in fixed plant, utilities or infrastructure.
- One or more years of planning experience in oil and gas, water processing plant, or a similar industrial environment.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably S4).
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
- Experience with GWOS, IGS, or other scheduling tools.
- Experience with Fieldglass and Ariba.
- Deep understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts, practices, performance measures, scheduling tools and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment specifications, engineering drawings, single‑line diagrams, isometric drawings, charts, tables, and other engineering records.
- Work location:
Baseplant north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. - If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
- Work week: 40‑hour week, Monday to Friday, 8‑hour shifts.
