Technical Service Representative - Mildred Lake

Overview

As a Technical Service Representative you will primarily be responsible for supporting customer machine fleet health and optimization objectives, retaining good customer relationships, and improving the operation and maintenance of mining equipment to Caterpillar OEM standards and specifications. In addition, the position is responsible for attending scheduled customer visits, aiding in resolving customer complaints and concerns, and forecasting/supporting future customer requirements.

• Work towards minimizing equipment downtime and maintain production requirements as scheduled.
• Send technical analysis to the customers, and provide the customer with recommended service and repair options.
• Based on the technical audit of the machine and analysis report, recommend components that will need to be replaced.
• Develop and maintain open lines of communication with all supportive internal and external departments.
• Provide analysis, maintenance and repair recommendations to appropriate groups in a timely manner.
• Escalate machine down situations to the appropriate individuals and/or groups rapidly.
• Build and maintain a reporting database of all equipment technical issues.
• Technical support for commercial and operations teams to provide value‑based insights in support of customer objectives.
• Work as part of a dynamic and supportive team structure responsible for aiding in repair execution effectiveness and establishing best practices recommendations.

• Journeyperson Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician with mechanical experience/aptitude.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customer service role.
• Strong communication skills including verbal and written.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Self‑starter and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Valid driver’s abstract.
• Strong experience and technical background with Caterpillar Mining products.
