Materials Lead

Overview

Ledcor Industrial is a contractor delivering fully integrated construction, maintenance, and turnaround solutions on large industrial projects in Canada. The position is based in Fort McMurray and supports a major turnaround project with rotational schedules. It focuses on coordination, logistics, and efficiency for material handling.

• Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to support turnaround execution
• Track material inventory levels and ensure availability for critical path activities
• Interface with procurement, vendors, and field teams to align material deliveries
• Verify materials against purchase orders, specifications, and packing lists
• Maintain accurate inventory records and material tracking systems
• Coordinate staging, laydown areas, and material logistics on site
• Identify and resolve material shortages or discrepancies
• Support expediting activities to ensure timely material delivery
• Ensure compliance with safety and handling requirements for materials
• Assist with reporting and documentation related to materials management

• Experience in materials coordination, logistics, or warehouse operations in industrial environments
• Knowledge of construction materials, especially mechanical or structural components
• Strong organizational and tracking skills
• Experience with inventory systems and documentation
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Commitment to safety and proper material handling practices

• Site‑based position in Fort McMurray, AB
• Rotational schedule supporting a major turnaround project
• Day shift and night shift work required
