Plant Operator - Albian Operations - JPM Ore Prep

Opportunity

We are looking for Plant Operators to join our Albian Operations – JPM Plant – Ore Prep. The operator will run the plant to meet planned production, quality and environmental targets, while working in a fast‑paced team environment and driving continuous improvement.

Job location:

Albian Sands Site – Fort McMurray, Alberta

Shift schedule: 7x7 – rotating day/night, 12‑hour shifts (Tuesday to Monday)

• Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment while following plant procedures and policies.
• Operate the plant proactively, including equipment monitoring and plant rounds, and communicate shift changes with incoming crews.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance using Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and energy isolation.
• Issue Safe Work Permits within a plant operating environment.
• Respond to plant upsets and adjust processes to maintain operational objectives and target outputs.
• Use the maintenance management system to enter work orders for deficiencies that need repair.

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Valid and clean Class 5 driver’s license.
• Mechanical aptitude for hands‑on operation of plant equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven safety and environmental mindset and the ability to make timely decisions during process upsets.
