Position: Suncor Heavy Equipment Operator Role
Become a Heavy Equipment Operator at Suncor! This temporary position combines training and valuable field experience at our Syncrude locations to help you excel in this vital role.

At Suncor, we are looking for candidates who are family members of current employees for our Heavy Equipment Operating program. Candidates must live in the RMWB area and will complete a 4-week training course at Keyano College before progressing to a paid co-op assignment of up to 6 months. This role features a structured shift schedule and focuses on safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete classroom instruction at Keyano College

• Participate in a co-op placement at Syncrude facilities

• Observe and implement safety practices

• Work in a six days on, six days off shift format

• Operate equipment under supervision during training

Requirements:

• Must be a current employee’s family member

• High School Diploma or GED or 10+ years of experience

• Valid full Class 5 Drivers License required

• Residing within the RMWB is essential

• No prior experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
