Position: Firebag Plant Production Technician Role

At Suncor, you will be part of a team ensuring the reliability and safety of one of the world's largest in situ operations, located northeast of Fort McMurray. With responsibilities focused on plant operations and process optimization, you will need to navigate both routine and emergency situations effectively, demonstrating strong operational skills. Your contribution will play a key role in meeting safety targets and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold safety standards throughout plant operations

• Conduct efficient operations and smooth shift changes

• Respond to operational challenges proactively

• Monitor crucial parameters during operations

• Preparation of systems for maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• Five years of related experience in heavy oil

• 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate (ABSA certified)

• High School Diploma or GED

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Ability to work in confined and elevated spaces
