Firebag Production Technician

Position: Firebag Production Technician Role
Become a Production Technician at Suncor’s Firebag site in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This full-time, Fly-In/Fly-Out role focuses on ensuring seamless SAGD operations with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

At Suncor, we invite experienced Plant Production Technicians to drive our operational success. You will engage in all aspects of plant operations, monitoring key metrics, and implementing necessary process changes. Your contributions are crucial in maintaining our high safety standards and effective teamwork during challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comply with operational safety standards

• Execute daily plant operations for optimal output

• Communicate effectively during shifts for seamless transitions

• Monitor and adjust equipment as necessary

• Prepare systems for maintenance procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum five years in heavy oil or related field

• Must have a valid 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Clean driving record mandatory

• Capable of handling physical demands of the role
