Licensed Practical Nurse at IWK Health

Become a vital part of the Dartmouth Community Clinic team as a Licensed Practical Nurse. This temporary full-time position focuses on Women's and Newborn Health in an engaging ambulatory clinic setting.

In this role, you will collaborate within an interdisciplinary clinical team, supporting various aspects of patient care and demonstrating strong nursing competencies. Join us in a dynamic team, where flexibility to cross-train among specialties is essential, particularly in General Gynaecology and Reproductive Endocrinology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care in an ambulatory clinic setting

• Assist physicians with minor procedures effectively

• Administer medications and conduct health assessments

• Support teaching on a one-to-one basis for patients

• Maintain knowledge in Women’s Health and related fields

Requirements:

• Graduate of a two-year Practical Nursing program

• Licensed by the Nova Scotia College of Nursing

• Recent CPR Level C certification

• Proven experience in Uro-dynamic studies

• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
