SGS is seeking independent contractors for a critical turnaround project. The role involves inspecting welds on various manufactured products as part of a dynamic team. Candidates should possess industrial welding inspection experience, ideally gathered during turnaround or shutdowns, with specific certification like API 510 or API 570.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct welding inspections on pipelines and pressure vessels
• Collaborate within a tight-knit team at the Fort McMurray site
• Work a schedule of 6 days on/1 day off
• Ensure quality assurance and vendor surveillance
• Report findings accurately and promptly
Requirements:
• CWB Level 2 certification or API 510/570
• Several years of relevant industrial experience
• Familiarity with oil and gas, power, or utility sectors
• Independent contractor status required
• Authorized to work in Canada
