Lead CSA field engineering and quality assurance at the Firebag Site in Fort Mackay, Alberta, supporting FIFO project execution.
This senior combined role connects design engineering with site construction for In Situ Projects. Apply civil, structural, and architectural specifications while resolving field issues, reviewing submittals, and driving quality surveillance. Support construction teams through final turnover and project completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Resolve field inquiries, RFIs, FCNs, and technical construction issues
- Review shop drawings, work packages, and quality documents
- Conduct inspections, audits, surveillance, and field witnessing
- Initiate NCRs and close deficiencies through field verification
- Review turnover packages and support mechanical completion processes
- Five or more years of field engineering and QA/QC experience
- Direct oil sands or In Situ construction project experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Alberta P.Eng. registration and professional work authentication ability
- Knowledge of CSA specifications, codes, and constructability principles
