Community Programs Advisor

Join the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as a Community Programs Advisor. This temporary full-time role focuses on developing community partnerships and initiatives in Fort McMurray.
This six-month position requires a strong background in social services, with responsibilities centered on administrative management, departmental support, and coordination of community projects. The Advisor will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to analyze departmental objectives, maintain records, and ensure compliance with funding contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage administrative functions and maintain departmental records

• Assist in developing community initiatives and programs

• Coordinate meetings and community engagement sessions

• Evaluate funding proposals and monitor grant compliance

• Participate in Emergency Social Services response efforts
Requirements:

• Degree in Social Services or related field

• Minimum three years of relevant experience

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work under tight deadlines

• Valid Class Five Operator’s License required
