Focusing primarily on the Fort McMurray First Nation (468), this role requires building trusting relationships with children, caregivers, and families. You will act as a resourceful guide, identifying their needs and facilitating connections to various services including health and community support. Your presence in community initiatives will help strengthen protective factors vital for family wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build a visible presence at community events and gatherings
• Act as the first point of contact for support inquiries
• Coordinate with health services for addiction support
• Collaborate with internal and external partners for effective service delivery
• Keep records of outreach engagements and activities
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in relevant fields such as Psychology or Community Development
• At least two years in community services or similar settings
• Knowledgeable of Indigenous healing practices
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Contribute to enhancing the well-being of children and families in the Fort McMurray area.
