As the Coordinator, you will liaise with the Community Education and Engagement Supervisor to craft programs that serve the ACFN. Essential tasks include managing Family Trees, creating Cultural Plans, and fostering partnerships with Elders and Knowledge Keepers. This position focuses on ensuring children and families connect meaningfully with their cultural roots.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create Family Trees that promote family bonds and cultural ties
• Advise on and oversee Cultural Plans for children and caregivers
• Facilitate access to cultural teachings and community resources
• Support Child & Family Services with culturally appropriate practices
• Conduct workshops that celebrate community traditions
Requirements:
• At least two years’ experience in cultural services or community support
• Familiarity with Cree and Dene cultural practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Class 5 license and required background checks
