Public Works Light Equipment Operator

Become a vital part of the Public Works team as a Light Equipment Operator for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

Your role will focus on maintaining roads and parks, utilizing various types of light machinery.
This position demands a proactive individual who can manage equipment like sanders and tractors under general supervision. You'll be responsible for conducting inspections, reporting maintenance issues, and keeping detailed records of operations. Working outdoors, your expertise will directly impact the community's functionality and safety, ensuring efficient municipal services year-round.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain light machinery, ensuring safety

• Perform inspections and report any faults or needs

• Maintain accurate operational records and reports

• Engage in traffic control and public assistance tasks

• Complete training for safe equipment usage
Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• At least one year of operating related equipment required

• Possession of Class Three Operator’s License

• Knowledge of occupational safety and equipment handling

• Able to perform duties in all weather conditions
