Haul Truck Operator

Become a Haul Truck Operator with the Fort McKay Group of Companies in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This full-time role requires operating heavy equipment safely and effectively on shift rotations.

The operator will work directly under the Team Lead, handling equipment like Caterpillar and Komatsu trucks. With at least one year of operating experience, candidates must be reliable and able to perform pre-operational checks, maintenance, and report damages. Applicants need to comply with road regulations and ensure safety throughout their shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment for material transport

• Conduct pre-operational equipment checks

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the truck

• Work flexible shift rotations: days and nights

• Report all equipment damage to the Team Leader

Requirements:

• Minimum one year operating experience with specified models

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Valid class five driver’s license and clean abstract

• CSO or BSO certification required

• Ability to work legally in Canada
