Heavy Haul Truck Operator Role

Thompson Construction Group is hiring a Heavy Haul Lowboy/Winch Truck Operator for its Fort McMurray operations. Focus on safely transporting construction equipment with a commitment to excellence.

In this role, you'll be responsible for operating trucks and lowboy trailers to transport various construction materials. Emphasizing safety, you will perform daily inspections, load and unload equipment, and manage regulatory logs. The position requires working a 14-on, 7-off schedule, fostering a culture of cooperation within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate heavy haul trucks for project transportation

• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and checks

• Complete daily logs for safety and operational efficiency

• Participate in routine safety meetings and training

• Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years moving heavy equipment experience

• Must possess a valid Class 1 driver’s license with air endorsement

• Familiarity with mechanical issues related to trucks

• Self-motivated with effective communication skills

• Ability to live in remote camps on a rotational basis
