The Senior Hardware Engineer will perform independent verification and validation (IV&V) of electronic components at the printed circuit board, chip, and wafer level. The Senior Hardware Engineer will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of hardware and software engineers to assess microelectronic component designs and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications- Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph
- BS in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or related technical field)
- 7 years of experience
- Patient, detailed, and follows good safety practices
- Technical writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- MS or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field)
- Experience troubleshooting electronic systems or electronic components
- Experience processing microelectronic components and semiconductor materials using techniques and systems including any of:
- Experience using optical microscopes or scanning electron microscopes for sample inspection
- Knowledge of electronic packaging, integrated circuits (ICs), failure analysis techniques, and semiconductor fabrication
- Mechanical grinding and polishing
- Wet chemical processing
- Reactive plasma etching
- Thin film deposition
- Ion beam milling or sputtering
This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.
