• Seeking a skilled MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and support MySQL database environments
• The DBA will be responsible for installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security of MySQL databases across development, test, and production environments
• This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with application developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to ensure database reliability, scalability, and efficiency

• Installing and configuring new MySQL servers (5.x and 8.x)
• Designing and developing MySQL stored procedures
• Upgrading MySQL databases, both major and minor revisions
• Administering MySQL account access, backups and table spaces
• Migrating MySQL databases
• Monitoring MySQL server performance

• Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
• BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years' experience
• 10+ years' experience administering to, and engineering solutions with, Oracle MySQL
• Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning
• Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills
• Must be COMPTIA Security Plus certified

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:

150, USD per year (Ft. Meade MD)
