We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dev Ops Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Linux systems, containers, administration, and a background in Big Data solutions, configuration management, automation, scripting, and AWS. The Dev Ops Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our services.

• Build, design, implement, and refine cloud architecture while providing prescriptive guidance across the network and security
• Support development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment
• Lead early scoping definitions and identifies critical dependencies
• Collaborate with functional business units to drive business solutions and direction
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Act as the primary escalation point for tier 3 operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure
• Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure
• Possess the ability to serve as an organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs; acting as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications
• Other duties as assigned

A current TS/SCI U.S. Government Security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship required.

15+ years of experience in Dev Ops Engineering or Software Development and a Bachelor's in a related field; or 13 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

Required skills:

• Strong knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting
• Proficient in configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Puppet
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure
• Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management
• Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
• Familiarity with Git and other development tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites
• Work is performed on Fort Meade, MD or Lackland, TX customer site 5 days/week. This will change as needed, so flexibility is key

Desired skills:

• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Postgre
  
  SQL, Elastic Search, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc
• Experience with containers EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform are a plus

Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $150,000 - $250,000.
