CACI is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems, manage IT system infrastructure and related processes. The Senior Systems Administrator will configure and manage primarily Windows and some UNIX operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, configure network components and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Responsibilities- Provide daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Assist users in accessing and utilizing IT systems.
- Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problems.
- Support day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Escalate and communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resources, perform capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide in-depth troubleshooting of IT systems.
- Analyze and provide feedback on escalated tickets to agency management and internal customers.
- Support dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in resolution.
- Configure and manage Linux/Unix (or other applicable) operating systems, install software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, configure network components and implement enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
- CWIP IAT 3 Certification within 6 months of hire.
- At least 15 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in similarly scoped programs and contracts.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) years of additional Systems Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- General familiarity with Tenable Nessus Manager (connect clients, run scans, create vulnerability and compliance scans, upgrade audits and plugin files).
- Linux: moderate systems administration knowledge (install OS, configuration, patching, everyday issue resolution).
- Trellix E-Policy Orchestrator familiarity (update system software, push agents and connect nodes).
- Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019/2022 – install OS, configure devices, patch vulnerabilities.
- Windows Active Directory – run domain controllers, configure users and computers, configure Group Policy per DISA STIGs, configure DNS and DHCP.
