Sr. Data Scientist – Fort Meade, MD

We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist for the Sr. Data Scientist role at Themis Insight, LLC.

Location:

Fort Meade, MD (may change based on client needs). Requires TS/SCI with Polygraph.

• Devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets.
• Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets.
• Translate mission needs into technical requirements and assist others with drawing conclusions from data.
• Effectively communicate complex technical information to non‑technical audiences.
• Make informed recommendations regarding competing technical solutions.

• A bachelor’s degree (or associate’s with 12 years of experience) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science.
• 10 years of relevant experience designing/implementing machine learning, data science, advanced analytical algorithms, programming (high-level language such as Python, mid-level such as
  
  C), data mining, advanced statistical analysis, and related disciplines.
• Experience in more than three skill areas is strongly preferred.
• Certificate in Data Science from an accredited institution considered.
• Strong foundation in advanced mathematics (e.g., linear algebra, probability, statistics) and computer science.
