Sr. Special Security Officer

Special Security Officer (SSO) position which will provide technical support to the Navy Cyber Warfare Developmental Group (NCWDG).

• Requires a current Top Secret security clearance. A CI Polygraph will be required within 6 months.
• Must be a US Citizen.

• Assist SSO with security processes and procedures
• Process paperwork and manage Program Access Requests (PAR)
• Conduct destruction of classified material and provide accountability of all documents and data transfers.
• Courses to be completed during the period of performance:
  • ICD 704 Personnel Security Course
  • ICD 705 Physical Security Course
  • Special Security Officer Course (SSOC)
  • SCI Overview Seminar
  • Establishing & Operating an Insider Threat Program

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an administrative role in a security environment
• Knowledgeable of OPSEC, personnel security, physical, IT/IA, and information security principles
• Working knowledge of Government and Industrial Security regulations and contractor clearances
• Experience with processing visit certifications
• Experience with maintaining security holding
• Solid knowledge/operation of MS Office software

• High School GED

• TOP SECRET CURRENT/ACTIVE
• Eligibility for upgrade to TS/SCI in the near future upon hire
• Be able to pass a Counterintelligence polygraph examination in the future
• Possess an investigation that is current within 6 years
• Personnel enrolled in CE will be eligible

• Must be a US Citizen.

The position is contingent upon the candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.

Salary is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000 per year.
