Senior Software Engineer (Fort Meade, MD)

Base-2 Solutions is looking for a top‑notch software engineer to join our team. We are driven to solve challenging customer problems by leveraging innovative technical solutions. Our software engineers develop next‑generation technologies that drive decision making and impact national defense.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Work individually or as part of a team; review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements.
• Resolve software problem reports; utilize appropriate development and design methodologies.
• Provide input to the system design, including hardware/software trade‑offs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS integration, and requirements analysis.

• Fourteen (14) years experience as a software engineer.
• Programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Ruby, Go.
• IDEs:
  Eclipse, Net Beans, Intelli
  
  J, PyCharm, Visual Studio, VS Code.
• Operating systems:
  Windows, Unix, Linux, macOS.
• Tools:
  Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence), Git Hub, Service Now.
• Frameworks:
  Spring, Angular, Bootstrap.
• Databases:
  Oracle, MySQL, Mongo
  
  DB.
• Build tools:
  Maven, Jenkins.
• Containers and orchestration:
  Docker, Kubernetes.
• Configuration management:
  Git, SVN, CVS.
• Cloud providers: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or four years of additional experience).
• TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• Salary range: $180,000 to $220,000 + full benefits.
• Referral bonus up to $10,000, additional performance bonuses.
