We’re seeking detail-oriented, security-clearedCloud Software Engineerto support a program in the Ft. Meade area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of large-scale cloud-based data systems and distributed processing environments.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain the integrity, security, and availability of large-scalecloud-based Big Data systems.
Implement and optimizedistributed processing workflowsacross the Hadoop ecosystem (e.g., HDFS, Map Reduce, Spark, Hive).
Perform performance analysis, tuning, troubleshooting, and monitoring ofcloud and data processing environments.
Contribute toback-end data processing, analysis, and indexingto support high-volume, mission-critical applications.
Develop and implement policies and best practices to ensure thesecurity, scalability, and reliabilityof cloud-based systems.
Evaluate and integrateCOTS/GOTS and open-source toolsinto cloud environments to improve performance and reduce development costs.
Support thesoftware lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
At least three (3) years of hands-on experience as asoftware engineerworking withcloud-based or distributed systems.
At least three (3) years of experience developing withJavaand applyingObject-Oriented Design (OOD)principles.
