Software Engineer; SWE Level 2

This Software Engineer position requires an Active Full Scope Poly clearance level and is located in Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, and manipulation of large data sets.
• Work individually or as part of a team to review and test software components, resolve software problems, and utilize software development methodologies.
• Provide input to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and software reuse.

Capabilities:

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software, correct defects, and provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.

Qualifications:

• Fourteen years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
