A multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting services group is currently seeking additional Full‑Time Special Inspectors/ Senior Engineering Technicians in our Fort Mill, SC office. The purpose of this position is to provide various testing and inspections on new and ongoing projects to verify compliance with building codes and standards.

• Complete structural concrete and reinforcing code and job specification compliance
• Structural masonry code and job specification compliance
• Pre‑stressed and post‑tension concrete tendons and reinforcing code and job specification compliance
• Inspection of soil, concrete, asphalt and/or steel
• Spray applied fireproofing code and job specification compliance

Daily communication with site contractors, other technicians and/or inspectors and project managers.

Complete accurate and detailed field testing/inspection reports and/or diagrams.

2‑year degree in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering Technology or relevant field of study and/or 3‑5 years of experience.

• Ability to calculate results from construction inspections
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents
• Ability to accurately complete field testing paperwork and detailed figures
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

ACI Concrete, ICC Special Inspections, OSHA 10/30‑hour, NCDOT Roadway Certified; will accept experience in lieu of education and/or certifications.

Qualified candidates must successfully pass a background check prior to employment.
