- Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unpredictable situations such as emergencies, assignments, staffing or schedule changes, and responds to crisis situations with confidence and clarity.
- Sets priorities independently, prepares assignments and duties at the beginning of each shift, and adjusts and delegates as situations change.
- Supports the growth and development of nursing personnel by facilitating assessment of educational needs and taking an active role in educating staff when needed.
- Assists with evaluation and improvement of patient care by ensuring an ongoing unit‑based quality‑monitoring program, including development and implementation of PI monitors and reports.
- Delegates shift duties appropriately, including chart checks, defibrillator logs, abnormal lab follow‑up and documentation, cleaning and stocking rooms, checking rooms for outdated supplies, and pulling trash/linen as needed.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
- Licenses &
Certifications: - A valid permanent multi‑state RN license is required.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR required; to be obtained within 7 days of hire.
- CPI certification with orientation period.
- Other unit‑specific certifications required within orientation period.
- Preferred Experience: 2–3 years of acute care or comparable experience with demonstrated leadership ability.
