Azure Solutions Architect (.Net Application Side)

Location: Fort Mill, SC (Charlotte, NC metro area), onsite 4 days/week at client mandatory

Experience: 12+ years

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

• Participate in architectural design meetings in support of key IT and Digital capabilities
• Deploying, managing, automating, operating, and securing scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on Microsoft Azure
• Implementing and controlling the flow of data to and from cloud
• Selecting the appropriate cloud service based on compute, data, budget, and security requirements
• Identifying appropriate use of cloud-based operational best practices
• Estimating usage costs, identifying operational cost control mechanisms, and driving cost-efficiencies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with analytical problem-solving skills.
• Azure Solution Architect
• Containerization/Azure Kubernetes Service/ Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Factor app.
• .NET
• .NET CORE
• Agile Methodologies incl. Agile Project Management, Sprint Planning, etc.
• Angular/React
• Strong understanding of Cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as IaaS/SaaS/PaaS, load balancing, storage, etc.
• Hands on experience on Azure App Service Model (Web Apps and Web Jobs).
• Creating, deploying, configuring and scaling applications on Azure PaaS.
• Hands-on experience in Azure storage services like Cosmos, SQL DB, Tables, Files and Blobs.
• Good knowledge of Azure IaaS (VMs, VNET, NSG Rules, VPN Gateways and Express Route).
• Participating in requirement gathering, analysis and technical design
• Experience with using development tools, including Azure Dev Ops, TFS, VSTS, JIRA, Git Hub, and Jenkins.
• Ability to write quality unit and end–to–end tests; debug and optimize existing and new code

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5 years of experience architecting cloud-based solutions
• Recent experience architecting solutions in Azure
• Strong technical knowledge of Azure PaaS, IaaS, and Azure AD
• Strong understanding of architectural design patterns, concepts and best practices
• Experience with Service Fabric and Containers (AKS)
• Experience with Event Driven Architecture, SOA, Microservices and Serverless Computing
• Power Shell/Bash with knowledge of Azure Infrastructure-as-Code including Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
• Understanding of application scaling to support increases in traffic
• Recent experience in a collaborative Agile working environment (Scrum preferred)
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD)
• Experience in provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running in the cloud
• Must be able to work on multiple projects and consistently meet project deadlines
• Hands on experience in implementing RESTful web services and SOAP services in cloud

• Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred) or MCSD Azure solutions developer
• Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB and Data Lake (Gen 2 Storage)
• Experience in Windows / Linux Virtualization, Networking
• Previous .Net Core development experience
• Experience with Visual Studio, GIT and Service Now
• Interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport and communicate effectively at all levels and across disciplines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, strong work ethic and high standard of excellence
