Site Reliability Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a Contract with a client in Fort Mill, SC. Candidates must have hands‑on experience in Site Reliability Engineering and managing high‑impact production support.

Rate Range: $47/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance by designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Monitor production systems and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Automate operational tasks using scripts and tools to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Manage incident response and postmortem processes to continuously improve system resilience.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability into application design and deployment.
• Implement and maintain observability tools (e.g., logging, monitoring, alerting) to gain insights into system health.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during critical incidents.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in production support and reliability engineering.
• Proven hands‑on experience in managing large‑scale production environments with SRE principles.
• Strong skills in incident prioritization and cross‑team coordination during critical outages.
