Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Plant Manager/Director of Operations
Business Unit: Fort Mill
Job Summary: Will perform daily routine of vital systems and report findings. Equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activities daily, monthly, and quarterly with a high level of precision. Troubleshoot failed equipment and investigate root cause of failure. Rebuild pumps, blowers, gearboxes, slide gate devices, and CNCs as needed. Balance multiple tasks to completion based on plant priority. Train and mentor less experienced colleagues to develop teams.

7:00 AM to 4:00 PM - On‑call rotation: one week
- Identify functional failures through troubleshooting and decide whether to replace or rebuild components.
- Perform routine maintenance on all equipment: inspections, filter changes, oil, grease, and document findings.
- Troubleshoot electrical components such as motor starters, solid‑state relays, overloads, fuses, safety circuits, motors, and solenoids.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic equipment and CNC equipment, dust‑collection and blow‑down devices, solenoids.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and program CNC routers.
- Maintain powder conveying systems: vacuum pumps, sheave alignment, drive belts, level sensors.
- Communicate with management and corporate maintenance and management team.
- Have general mechanical experience.
- Stay aware of new systems and techniques to upgrade existing equipment and processes.
- Follow safety procedures and work carefully at all times to prevent injuries and avoid damage to company property.
- Effectively communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co‑workers to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Use proper lock‑out procedures and personal protective equipment.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and repairs which may occur outside operating hours.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Maintain good housekeeping.

Order parts/equipment for your own maintenance work.
- Experience reading and interpreting documents such as mechanical and electrical prints or schematics.
- 3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing plant, troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment, and maintaining the building and grounds.
- Intermediate to advanced electrical training or experience with single and three‑phase electrical circuits up to 480 V.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, internet research, and usage of Computer‑Based Maintenance Management Software.
- Functional knowledge of mechanical components (valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, etc.).
- Trade or vocational school degree or related experience.
- Proficiency in operating electric or propane‑fueled forklift, scissor lift, and/or boom lift.
- Minimum 3 years of documented experience.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
