Job SummaryThe Senior Corporate Security Investigator (CSI) works independently with stakeholders to conduct investigations, liaison, and intelligence collection. Employees at this level conduct advance investigations while collaborating with the Enterprise Investigative Team. Senior CSI work more independently, developing advanced intelligence collection skills and continuing to build their liaison relationship base. They effectively apply fundamental investigative concepts and procedures to investigations of increasing complexity.
Responsibilities- Conduct complex company investigations in support of Ethics, HR, Legal, Nuclear, and Enterprise Security; interview, review incident reports, report findings, brief management on ongoing investigations, coordinate sync meetings with investigative partners, analyze data, collect evidence, conduct searches, assess facts and document recommendations.
- Conduct liaison with internal and external stakeholders; provide physical security support for sites; offer recommendations to customers; coordinate off‑duty law enforcement; support employment terminations; collect property; coordinate security requests from business units.
- Collaborate with law enforcement: collect police reports, witness testimony, subpoenas, court order compliance, coordinate pole camera installations for criminal investigations.
- Document case details and report writing.
- Conduct surveillance, intelligence collection; coordinate response to threats and acts of violence; discuss enhanced physical security at sites; perform brand‑based risk assessments using investigative results.
- Prepare pre‑job briefs, operational planning, interview planning.
- Support all functions of EPS, including physical security, escorts into secured space, coordination with business units to obtain project information, and respond to security events reported directly or by the ESCC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of the energy industry – operation of the Bulk Electric System, U.S. Natural Gas production and delivery system, and Renewable Energy.
- Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Intelligence Studies/Analysis, Security Studies, Security Management, or similar.
- 10+ years of investigative or law‑enforcement experience.
- ASIS certifications desired.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
- Clear National Certified Investigator and Inspector.
- Private Investigator License.
- Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Certification.
- Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (DoD).
- Field Mobility Classification – work in various field locations after onboarding; employees must live within a reasonable commute.
- Area of responsibility includes Pee Dee (SC) and Charlotte Metro Area.
- 60% office environment; 30% field work (office buildings, power generation plants, electrical and natural gas infrastructure, other industrial and commercial facilities).
- 10% deploy in support of emergent work on short notice, nights, and weekends.

Location:
Fort Mill, SC with alternate location in Matthews, NC; additional SC and NC locations may be considered.
- 40+ hours of Interview and Interrogation Training, Report Writing, Public Speaking and Presentation Training.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong investigative and interview skills; ability to collaborate extensively with investigators and corporate stakeholders.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance (NERC CIP procedures).
- Knowledge of both Cyber and Physical Security principles.
- Flexibility: adapt quickly to security incidents, after‑hours work, weekends, various environments, and changing priorities.
