The Principal Engineer will be responsible for developing cloud-based web applications. This role will be involved in all phases of development including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate will be able to work on large scale enterprise applications having strong design skills on event driven architecture, be able to learn quickly, independently, and possess strong communication skills along with excellent problem-solving ability.

• Lead research, design and development of enterprise services on AWS Landing Zone (ALZ) utilizing IaC/IaaS/ PaaS solutions including EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, ELB, RDS, R53, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS
• Build IaC solutions adhering to Dev Sec Ops  best practices utilizing tools such as Git, Cloud Formation, Ansible and Terraform
• Build scalable and resilient solutions and ensure proper instrumentation is in place for overall observability of platforms and services.
• Lead a team of developers building custom web applications, grooming them and ensuring high quality standards by reviewing code and providing feedback to developers
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand ups, retrospectives, and sprint demos
• Accountable for site reliability engineering (SRE) activities to build highly available and scalable solutions and ensure problem observability of platforms and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to application functionality or performance
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and advocate for their use where appropriate

• Angular, .NET Core 6, C#, Angular 8+, AWS Cloud, REST API, SQL Server, Postgre
  
  SQL, Tableau, ELK, Confluent Kafka

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required;
  Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years of software development experience with at least a year of experience leading a team of engineers
• 4+ years of experience working with AWS. In depth understanding on AWS Well-Architected Framework, AWS Landing Zone and Dev Sec Ops .
• 5+ years of Senior Developer experience in designing and implementing complex systems, including developing solutions from scratch.
• 3+ years of Full-stack developer experience designing applications in Angular, developing web services (REST/SOAP), and integrating with vendor APIs.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and locations
• Financial industry experience preferred but not required
