Ultrasonographer - PRN - Rotating Shifts - Req #

Description
Performs ultrasound scanning procedures. Reports preliminary findings and diagnoses to the radiologist. Takes anatomical pictures to demonstrate organs.
Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound scanning procedures.
- Take anatomical images to demonstrate organs.
- Perform exams such as abdominal echoes, renal, aorta, thyroid, pelvic, obstetrical, bio-physical profiles, vascular studies, testicular and breast studies.
- Color flow studies, Doppler studies, renal biopsies and fluid collections of localized areas.
- Check all films with the radiologist; consult with the radiologist about the reading of scans and reports.
- Provide written, unofficial reports of examinations.
- Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to meet the department's goals and objectives.
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
- R.D.M.S. or registry eligible.
- Current BLS.
- One year previous experience required, two years preferred.
