- This position is responsible for performing basic nursing care procedures under the direct supervision of the professional licensed nursing staff post graduation from nursing school.

- Education: Graduate of Nursing Program with a minimum Associate Degree; BSN preferred. Must take boards on first offering. Graduate Nurses may engage in the supervised practice of professional nursing for up to 120 calendar days.
- Licenses: Arizona RN License within 6 months from hire date.
- Certifications: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification;
American Heart Association ACLS/PALS required within 6 months of employment.
- Performs patient care tasks (baths, make beds, feeding, weights and heights, vital signs, etc.) and thoroughly reporting changes or patient concerns to RN.
- Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Participates in performance assessment and improvement activities as required.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
