you'll contribute
  • You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator.

  • This position is responsible for performing basic nursing care procedures under the direct supervision of the professional licensed nursing staff post graduation from nursing school.

Qualifications and requirements
  • Education: Graduate of Nursing Program with a minimum Associate Degree; BSN preferred. Must take boards on first offering. Graduate Nurses may engage in the supervised practice of professional nursing for up to 120 calendar days.
  • Licenses: Arizona RN License within 6 months from hire date.
  • Certifications: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification;
    American Heart Association ACLS/PALS required within 6 months of employment.
Essential Functions
  • Performs patient care tasks (baths, make beds, feeding, weights and heights, vital signs, etc.) and thoroughly reporting changes or patient concerns to RN.
  • Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Participates in performance assessment and improvement activities as required.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Non-Essential Functions
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
