American Traveler is hiring an RN First Assist for a Perioperative Services role requiring certified FA credentials and at least one year of post-training experience.
Requirements- Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
- Certified Surgical First Assistant (FA) certification required
- AHA certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of post-training experience required
- Successful completion of a surgical FA training program required
- Skillset to assist with OB, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, and Podiatry procedures
- Work in the Operating Room/Perioperative Services department of a hospital with six major operating rooms
- Provide surgical first assist support for OB, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, and Podiatry cases
- No pediatric or neonatal patient population
- Standard interoperative care team ratios and equipment
- Uses Med Host EHR
- Monday through Friday schedule,
- Weekend hours are call only
- Participates in a regular call rotation with ST
- Assist the surgical team across a variety of specialties including OB, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, and Podiatry
- Must wear facility-provided surgical attire while in surgical procedural areas
- Maintain a professional and pleasant demeanor
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
