Tax Manager – Real Estate

- Run client engagements from start to finish: planning, execution, directing, and completing tax projects on time and within budget.
- Build and maintain impactful relationships with clients and firm leadership.
- Accurately record time and billing for self and team.
- Develop deep knowledge of clients’ businesses and meet all deadlines.
- Actively solicit new client relationships and participate in client seminars.
- Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, applying new knowledge to engagements.
- Coordinate with other tax professionals to ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Hold self and direct reports accountable for developmental goals.
- Mentor and coach junior team members.
- Engage in training programs and professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent field.
- 4+ years of tax compliance and/or consulting experience focused on real estate, REITs, private equity, or emerging businesses.
- CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification.
- Master’s degree in taxation or a relevant field.
- Experience with GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software.

Preferred Location & SalaryLocation:
New York. For NYC and California, the expected salary range is $85,000–$150,000. Other markets may vary based on local differences.
