• Strong medical scheduling experience

• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems
• Experience managing a high volume of calls while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Excellent communication, active listening, and customer service skills
• Patience and empathy when assisting patients with questions or scheduling needs
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• The ability to multitask and remain focused in a fast-paced call environment

As an Outpatient Scheduling Specialist, you will help coordinate timely access to care by:

• Managing a high volume of incoming patient calls
• Scheduling outpatient-based procedures accurately and efficiently
• Communicating appointment information and scheduling requirements clearly
• Coordinating scheduling details across departments and services
• Using multiple computer systems to document and manage scheduling information
• Balancing call volume, efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional patient service

This position is very often the first point of contact with Lee Health for information and the scheduling of appointments, and/or recording of patient communication. Therefore, it requires excellent verbal and customer service skills. This role involves taking inbound calls from patients, providers and a multitude of other departments.
