FLORIDA REPERTORY THEATRE Seeks Company Manager ABOUT FLORIDA REP

Florida Repertory Theatre, a fully professional regional theatre in the heart of downtown Fort Myers, seeks an organized, resourceful, and people-oriented Company Manager to lead its Company Management office. Now entering its 29th season, Florida Rep produces nine professional productions annually in its two downtown venues and welcomes more than 100 professional actors, directors, stage managers, designers, technicians, and other theatre artists each season.

THE

POSITION

The Company Manager serves as a primary point of contact for visiting artists, creative professionals, seasonal staff, and interns and oversees the day-to-day logistics that support their work and residency at Florida Rep. Company Management is a small, hands-on department consisting of the Company Manager and Assistant to the Company Manager. This position combines administration, logistics, hospitality, and hands-on work. The successful candidate should be equally comfortable coordinating artist travel and union paperwork, solving an unexpected housing problem, setting up an apartment, doing laundry, or driving an artist to the airport.

This is a full-time, salaried position with regular evening and weekend responsibilities based on artist, travel, and production schedules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee approximately 40 company housing units, including housing documentation, furnishings, inventory, maintenance coordination, resident needs, and communication with leasing offices.
  • Prepare housing for arriving artists and staff, including apartment setup, light cleaning, laundry, furniture, linens, and household supplies.
  • Coordinate travel, housing, ground transportation, and arrival/departure logistics for visiting artists and creative personnel, including regularly providing transportation to and from area airports.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for visiting artists and seasonal staff and respond to housing, transportation, and other logistical needs throughout their residency.
  • Prepare and distribute artist hiring paperwork and union contracts in coordination with the Artistic, Production, and Business departments.
  • Supervise and work alongside the Assistant to the Company Manager.
  • Oversee the Theatre's small fleet of company vehicles and coordinate maintenance and cleaning.
  • Track departmental expenses and assist with other Company Management responsibilities, including script and score distribution and incoming/outgoing mail.
QUALIFICATIONS

Florida Rep welcomes applicants from a variety of professional backgrounds. Previous theatre or performing arts experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with relevant experience in hospitality, travel, logistics, administration, event management, customer service, or similar fields are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates should have excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; be comfortable managing multiple priorities and responding to changing circumstances; and be proficient with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license, be able to safely operate company vehicles, be available for evening and weekend work as required, and be able to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Florida Rep offers two compensation options based on the successful candidate's housing needs:

  • $46,000-$51,000 annually without company housing; or
  • $31,000-$36,000 annually plus a two-bedroom apartment provided by Florida Rep.

Salary within the applicable range is based on experience and qualifications.

Benefits include employer contributions toward health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; and complimentary gated parking.

Florida Rep offers a collaborative, friendly, and supportive working environment where employees are encouraged to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to the organization.
