Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine,transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
• Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Ability to perform any additional related duties as required and assigned by service department management.

Job Requirements:

Certified Technician/Mechanic

• At least 3 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• Maintains an organized neat and safe bay.
• 3 years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience to succeed in this position.
• A high level of motivation and energy and strong customer service skills are also required.
• Must have a Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Technician must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Team player - work in cooperation with others to achieve common goals.
• Must have valid drivers license - complying with company Driver Criteria Guide
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

• Ability to identify problems quickly
• Good knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Good reading, computer and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• GM Certified
