Automotive Paint Technician

Overview

Locally owned company with over 100 years combined experience in the automotive reconditioning industry is expanding and is in need of a qualified and professional automotive paint technicians.

Pay: $800.00 - $1,500.00 per week

This range is provided by Music City Recon. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

• Travel to dealerships for on-site cosmetic repair.
• Inspect vehicles to be painted for repair.
• Prep and/or buff defects.
• Mix paint to specific color using standard formulas or color charts.
• Paint, sand, mask, blend and/or polish finish and retouch as needed.

• High School diploma.
• Valid driver s license and good driving record.
• Ability to interact with co-workers and customers.
• At least two years of experience as an auto painter, prepping, and/or collision repair technician.
• Detail oriented.
• Active listener and good judgment.
• Good multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to follow complex instructions is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety precautions.

• Must be able to work with strong detergents and chemicals.
• Time is spent working outside in both hot and cold weather conditions.
• Must be willing to wear gloves and eye and ear protection.
• 40-hour minimum work week, Monday through Friday. Paint leads earn up to 30% of gross bill out. Paint technicians work in teams of two and assist one another in completing jobs.
