Commercial Project Superintendent

Overview

Superintendent role overseeing on-site resources and logistics for construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, schedules, and safety standards.

• Supervise, plan, organize and control all on-site resources and logistics for the successful execution of a construction project.
• Manage job setup to ensure all necessary project equipment, documents, and signage are on site and displayed properly.
• Create 2-week lookaheads and manage primary schedules.
• Prepare daily and weekly project records and reports utilizing Procore Construction Management Software.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to plans and specifications and adheres to construction schedules; stop and remediate non-compliant work.
• Expedite and coordinate the work of the subcontractors’ field forces.
• Hold and chair weekly subcontractor meetings regarding safety, sequencing, expediting, coordination of the project, and keep written minutes.
• Assist the Project Manager with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors.
• Monitor cost and job costing, forecasting and productivity.
• Enforce the GCG safety manual, site-specific safety program, or OSHA standards, whichever is more stringent.
• Report to and advise all construction activities to the project manager and company owners.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Project Superintendent for a Commercial General Contractor.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, MS Project, and Blue Beam.
• Outstanding communication skills for all team members including customers, coworkers, management, design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with a positive "can-do" attitude.
