Job Summary

The Assistant Superintendent (Fort Myers) assists Superintendents, Senior Superintendents, and Project Managers in all field‑related activities associated with the successful completion of assigned projects. Responsibilities include job site safety, cost and quality control, communication with architects and consultants, and adherence to the project schedule. The role requires maintaining positive relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants, and Subcontractors while addressing field and constructability issues.

Minimum Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Foreman or equivalent role in the construction industry.
  • High school diploma or GED and four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Safety‑first mindset with proven experience in safety programs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Solid understanding of construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades, and relevant technologies.
  • Ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency with technology, including MS Office and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a dynamic team.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing the project schedule, subcontracts/purchase orders, and project responsibilities listing.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Project Team to understand project plans, submittals, blueprints, and construction codes as affected by local and state ordinances.
  • Support all aspects of the project from demolition to finish.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Order materials and schedule inspections.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with owners, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, project team, and employees.
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Superintendent and project leadership.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Project Managers, field personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Assist with completing and submitting schedule updates.
  • Arrange and secure permits with local cities as needed.
  • Assists in analyzing job costs and maintaining accurate reporting.
  • Track, review, and process change order requests.
  • Manage processing and tracking of monthly owner payments as needed.
  • Implement and enforce all applicable safety processes and procedures.
  • Manage preparation/execution of project closeout processes.
