Earthwork​/Underground Utility Estimator

The Earthwork / Underground Utility Estimator is a full-time, on-site role (will consider Hybrid) based in Fort Myers, FL. This position is responsible for reviewing civil plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork and underground utilities, and preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals. The estimator collaborates with project managers, field supervisors, and the procurement team to confirm constructability, sequencing, and pricing assumptions.

Daily activities include analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotes, updating estimate templates and unit pricing, and maintaining organized records of bids and awarded projects. The role also involves participating in pre-bid meetings, assisting with value engineering options, and supporting handoff meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to project execution.

• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to accurately determine material quantities needed for construction projects
• Utilize Agtek and Bluebeam software to perform detailed takeoffs and cost estimations efficiently
• Collaborate with estimators, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials
• Assist Estimator in developing comprehensive construction estimates that include labor, equipment and materials,
• Prepare detailed reports on quantities, costs, and pricing strategies to facilitate bid submissions and project planning
• Maintain organized records of all takeoff data, and estimation documents for future reference
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.

• Proven experience with construction estimating and takeoff processes within heavy civil / Underground Utilities or infrastructure projects (2 Years Min)
• Proficiency in Agtek/Planswift or Similiar for digital plan review and markup
• Familiarity with B2W/HCSS or similar estimating software is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of construction site operations, and project management principles
• Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Prior experience in Heavy civil construction is preferred -
